Write Your Life!

A sucky computer drawing by yours truly.
Hello again, readers, authors and poets. This page contains information called the rules. Please abide by them and report anything wrong to me right away! It may be an eye sore for you to read this, but please do,, so you know what is expected of you.

Story-writers' Rules:
1. Please be respectful. If you are giving critics, then do so in a manner where it is civilized and is able to be understood. Do not flame a person just because of one mistake; but if that person answers you rudely or doesn't heed your critiques, you may gradually press on him/her.

2. When writing a story, you must be aware of many mistakes. I suggest to double-check your story and then post it.

3. When recieving critics, you need to be civilized and try to understand your mistakes. No flaming.

4. It would be helpful if you have something to go by, like a username. You can use your real name, but please don't let other people know about your private things (i.e. address, phone number, etc.)

5. Please keep the profanity down, but if it must happen, then it must. Romance shouldn't be too specific... Violence should be at a low level. Not too much gore, not much description is fine.

6. NO PLAGIARISM! Plagiarism is illegal! Unless you don't want to end up in a cold, dark, damp cell with only a talking toilet to keep you company, don't do it.

7. If it's a fanfiction, please put a Disclaimer Notice somewhere on it, so it'll be known that it isn't going to have copyright issues or plagiarism.

So that's it for those authors! If more rules are to be added, than more rules are to be added. New rules will be announced in the forums. Fanfictions should not break any of these rules, either.

Poets' Rules:
1. Make sure your poems make sense. Maybe add a description at the end for reference or about the feelings in it.

2. Take and give constructive criticism and be cicilized. Be calm, don't rant and don't flame.

3. Make sure that your words actually fit into the poem, like how some poets 'fix' a word so it rhymes. Explanations would help a lot.

4. Remember, NOT ALL POEMS RHYME! Some don't rhyme, some do, some are short, others are long.

5. Vulgarity is discouraged and bitter, bitter thoughts that could lead to flaming should be kept to self.

6. Plagiarism should not be here at all! If it's a rewritten version of another poem, credits to that person and copyrights to that same person.

7. Like the above set of rules, it would be really helpful if you have a penname to go by, or something to be called. Again, no personal stuff should be told to the public (i.e. address, phone number, etc.)

That's it for now! More rules will be added if need be, and new rules will be announced in the forums and the home page. If you have any questions, post them in the forums and they will be answered. Thanks for reading, and happy writing!
